This film is the latest theatrical chapter for the legendary series Kamen Rider Agito, which originally aired from 2001 to 2002 and is celebrated for having some of the highest ratings in Heisei-era Kamen Rider history. Taking on a main role in her first movie, Yuuchami will be playing police officer Aoi Ruriko. She’s a member of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Unidentified Life Form Countermeasures Special Armed Unit—better known as the G-Unit. Don’t let her cute appearance fool you; Ruriko’s character is described as having a short fuse but an unwavering hatred for injustice and a fiercely strong sense of justice. It’s a role that promises to show a completely new side of the entertainer.
Legacy of the G-System: Suiting Up as Kamen Rider G6
The G-Unit holds a special place in Rider history—it’s the same unit where the original series’ protagonist, police officer Hikawa Makoto (played by Kaname Jun), served as the wearer of the G3 armor. Carrying on that legacy, Aoi Ruriko will don the cutting-edge Special Reinforced Armor Suit G6 and transform into Kamen Rider G6 to combat the malicious rampage of superpowered individuals threatening the city.
