To celebrate the half-year countdown to the theatrical release of the anime film ‘Rakuen Tsuihou: Kokoro no Resonance,’ a streaming project called ‘Paradise Week’ on YouTube has been announced. The first run will premiere from Monday, May 18 to Saturday, May 23 on the official Aniplex account.
Paradise Week
Released in theaters on November 15, 2014, ‘Expelled from Paradise’ is the first original theatrical work by Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus) and Seiji Mizushima. Set in the year 2400, where humanity has abandoned physical bodies and Earth to live in the cyberspace Deva, this full 3DCG anime merges a grand sci‑fi vision with breathtaking action, combining overwhelming sensibility with cutting‑edge visual beauty, and became a huge hit.
In 2024, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its theatrical release, a 4K upconverted version titled ‘Expelled from Paradise -Impelled by 10th Anniversary-’ was screened for a limited two‑week run at 34 theaters nationwide. In 2026, the long‑awaited sequel ‘Rakuen Tsuihou: Kokoro no Resonance’ is scheduled for release. Directed by Seiji Mizushima, with script by Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), character design by Masatsugu Saito, and music by NARASAKI, the main staff reassembles to depict a new story beyond.
