TV anime Glass no Kamen will be streamed for the first time on TVer, the official streaming service of commercial broadcasters.
Glass no Kamen is a story set in the world of theater. The protagonist, Kitajima Maya, is discovered by the great actress Tsukikage Chikage, who was forced to retire due to an accident. Maya demonstrates her natural talent and grows while competing with her rival, Himekawa Ayumi.
The original manga is the same-titled work by Miuchi Suzue, which began serialization in Hana to Yume (Hakusensha) in 1975 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in December 2025. It is a masterpiece of shoujo manga that has been adapted into TV anime twice (1984 NTV series, 23 episodes; 2005 TV Tokyo series, 51 episodes), a 1997 TV drama (TV Asahi), and numerous stage productions.
The streaming on TVer will start from Wednesday, May 13, after the TOKYO MX broadcast ends. Every Wednesday at 21:25.
