The summer 2026 anime adaptation of the light novel series Saikyou Dehagarashi Ouji no Anyaku Teii Arasoi has released the synopsis and preview cuts for its first episode, titled “Dehagarashi Ouji” (The Drained Prince). The episode is set to begin airing on July 6, 2026.
The series is based on the light novel by Tanba, published under KADOKAWA’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, with illustrations by Yuuna. The comic adaptation is by Amagumo Yukino. The original web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou has accumulated over 570 million page views, and the series has sold over 1.95 million copies in print. The story is set in the Adrasia Empire, a nation with immense military power. The seventh prince, Arnold, is called the “drained prince” because his talented twin brother Leo has drained all his abilities. After the sudden death of the crown prince, the imperial succession struggle intensifies. Arnold decides to get serious: he pretends to be incompetent on the surface while secretly operating as “Silver,” one of only five SS-rank adventurers on the continent, using overwhelming power to manipulate the succession war from the shadows.

Episode 1 Synopsis
The seventh prince Arnold, who plays the role of an incompetent, is in truth the strongest adventurer “Silver.” He begins his shadowy moves to push his twin brother to the throne, visiting the Klainert ducal residence.
There, he meets Fine, known as the “Blue Gull Princess” (Blau Möwe), the most beautiful girl in the country. Arnold accuses the ducal house of failures as part of his scheme, and Fine offers herself as compensation.
