Conveyor belt sushi chain Sushiro is rolling out products supervised by cooking researcher Ryuji-san and voice actor Hiroki Yasumoto-san. Menu items using “Otamayo (R)” will also be available. On the official X account where the announcement was made, excited comments such as “We have no choice but to go!” have already poured in.

This time, Sushiro is offering products supervised by Ryuji-san, a cooking researcher active in many fields as “Cooking Big Brother” promoting the joy of home cooking with a total of 11.3 million followers including social media, and voice actor Hiroki Yasumoto-san, who appears in numerous drama CDs and game works in addition to narration work.

This collaboration started from a video posted on the YouTube channel “Cooking Researcher Ryuji’s Buzz Recipes” in December 2024. The products supervised by Ryuji-san and Yasumoto-san include five sushi items and one side menu item, for a total of six items.

“Marinated Bincho with Mayo and Lemon Sauce” and “Marinated Flounder Fin with Lemon Sauce” are light sushi topped with Ryuji-san’s original “salt lemon sauce” over aromatic vegetables combined with shiso leaves, Japanese pepper leaves, and onion slices.

“Marinated Bincho with Mayo and Lemon Sauce” has mayo sauce placed between the topping and aromatic vegetables, enhancing the soft texture of the bincho with the richness of the mayo.

“Anago (Conger Eel) with Andes Red Salt and Lemon” is a dish where grilled simmered conger eel is paired with Andes red salt, topped with lemon, resulting in a plate where the fragrance of grilling and the refreshing aroma of lemon stimulate the appetite.

“Tuna Natto Garlic Gunkan” has an irresistible junk-food flavor, with garlic applied to natto and marinated tuna to bring out the junk food feel that is the highlight of Ryuji-san’s recipes.

Furthermore, the super-rich sinful mayo “Otaku no Mayo” commonly called “Otamayo (R)” developed jointly by voice actor Hiroki Yasumoto-san and cooking researcher Ryuji-san, featuring fried garlic, bacon, and black pepper flavors, is used in “Otamayo Roll” and “Fried Potatoes to Eat with Otamayo.” Their compatibility with the junk food flavor of Otamayo (R) is outstanding.

Regarding this collaboration, the official X account announced on May 14: “Cooking researcher Ryuji-san & voice actor Hiroki Yasumoto-san supervised ‘Ultimate Buzz Menu’ is finally complete!!”

In response, many X users reacted. Comments such as “We have no choice but to go!,” “I’m definitely going! Until today’s announcement, Sushiro had posted several teasers on X hinting at the collaboration, and many had already predicted it, drawing attention. When the announcement came, joyful comments such as “After all, it’s Otamayo!!!,” “So this was the meaning of Eguchi-san’s illustration,” and “Otamayo is here!” were seen.
