
The official website for the anime movie adaptation of Kaori Mado and Akamoku’s light novel Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku to has revealed additional cast, staff, the theme song, a key visual, and the first trailer. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 17.
Voice actresses Rie Takahashi (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) and Natsuko Yokosawa (Bokura no Yoake) are joining the cast as Haru and Yukari Natsume, respectively.

The movie is being directed by Akira Suzuki at SynergySP and The Answer Studio. Kouhei Mori is penning the script, and Yuuji Watanabe is designing the characters.
J-group timelesz (Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai opening theme) will perform the theme song “Kienai Hanabi,” which is previewed in the first main trailer below.
Mado published the romantic light novel under Shogakukan’s Gagaga bunko imprint in December 2025, featuring illustrations by Akamoku.
