The second season of the TV anime Hana-Kimi (“花ざかりの君たちへ”) officially has a premiere date. A new promotional video revealed that the series will begin airing on July 1, 2026. Alongside the announcement, it was confirmed that the musical trio Omoinotake will handle both the opening and ending theme songs.
Based on the beloved shoujo manga by Nakajou Hisaya, which originally ran in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume from 1996 to 2004, the story follows Ashiya Mizuki, a girl who transfers from America to an all-boys school disguised as a boy in order to meet her idol, Sano Izumi. The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2026.
On May 23, a special live streamed program titled “TV Anime ‘Hana-Kimi’ Special Live Stream Special ~They’re Going on a School Trip~” aired, featuring five cast members: Yamane Aya (Ashiya Mizuki), Yashiro Taku (Sano Izumi), Umehara Yuuichirou (Nanba Minami), Kawashima Reiji (Chuuo Senri), and Uchiyama Kouki (Kayashima Taiki).
During the program, a new PV was unveiled that uses Omoinotake’s opening theme “FLASHBULB” and ending theme “Hanataba.” The second season is set to premiere on July 1 on TOKYO MX and other stations.

TV anime Hana-Kimi Season 2 begins airing on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday), starting at 24:30 on TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11, with additional broadcasts on MBS, CBC TV, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting. Times may be subject to change.
