The ‘Uta no Prince-sama♪’ franchise and world-renowned designer Maruyama Keita are teaming up once again for a new summer collection under the collaborative line K.M☆U.P (Kei Emu☆Yuu Pii). This time, fans can dress like their favorite idols with a set of yukata and obi that capture the essence of the season. The items will be available for early purchase on Broccoli Online starting May 28, 2026.
First launched as a game in 2010, ‘Uta no Prince-sama♪’ has expanded into a wide media franchise including CDs and anime, centering on a cast of colorful boys who aim to become top idols.
Two types of yukata are on offer, each inspired by one of the franchise’s two main idol groups: ST☆RISH and QUARTET NIGHT.
Summer Star (ST☆RISH) features a refreshing white base with navy goldfish and flowing water patterns, accented by scattered stars that add a cool, summery touch.
Summer Night (QUARTET NIGHT) presents a sharp black design with fireworks and a lattice pattern spreading elegantly across the fabric, evoking the quiet beauty of a summer evening.
Each yukata purchase comes with a special visual card corresponding to the group of the chosen design — either ST☆RISH or QUARTET NIGHT.
To complete the look, the K.M☆U.P YUKATA-MODE obi are reversible, allowing wearers to switch up their style. For ST☆RISH, the front features a traditional hemp-leaf pattern (asa no ha) while the reverse is adorned with star motifs. For QUARTET NIGHT, the front showcases a graceful feather design and the reverse a diamond motif representing the group.
Each obi purchase includes a special visual card of the corresponding idol, with 11 different cards available — one for each member of ST☆RISH and QUARTET NIGHT.
To celebrate the release, a special ‘Uta☆Pri Summer Festival’ will be held at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro on September 19 and 20, 2026. Visitors can enjoy traditional festival stalls and an original ‘Uta no Prince-sama♪’ Bon Odori dance. The event will take place at the Bunka Kaikan Building 4F Exhibition Hall B, with timed entry sessions.
