A new Pikachu-themed pouch set for the interactive “Pokenade Monster Ball” toy is set to release on July 18, 2026.

The “Pokenade Monster Ball” is a communication LCD toy shaped like a Poké Ball that responds cutely when you pet it. Originally released in October 2025, the toy was born from the idea that if you met a real Pokémon, your first instinct would be to reach out and pet it. It features 157 different Pokémon that grow friendlier as you interact with them through petting, playing, and care.

Reactions change depending on how you pet and how close you are—tap gently and a Pokémon might doze off, for example. The toy has been well-received across age groups for making Pokémon feel naturally present in daily life.
Now, a dedicated pouch takes that experience further. When you slide the “Pokenade Monster Ball” into the new pouch, it feels like you’re petting Pikachu itself. The pouch can be attached to a bag or carried as is, keeping Pokémon close at hand.
The “Pokenade Monster Ball Pikachu Friends Set” (pouch included) retails for 9,878 yen (tax included), while the “Pokenade Pikachu Friends Pouch” alone costs 2,750 yen (tax included). For reference, the standard “Pokenade Monster Ball” is 7,480 yen (tax included). Both items go on sale July 18, 2026 and are recommended for ages 4 and up. The toy body measures 70mm per side, and the pouch measures 140mm × 130mm × 120mm. They will be available at toy stores, department store toy sections, mass retailers, online stores, and the official Takara Tomy Mall.
