Demon Slayer: GARRACK Mechanical Watches Featuring Shinazugawa Genya and Tsuyuri Kanao Now Available for Pre-Order

The traditional craft of Kanazawa gold leaf and mechanical watchmaking come together once again in the latest collaboration between the hit anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” and the brand GARRACK. Two new models inspired by Shinazugawa Genya and Tsuyuri Kanao are joining the S-MEISTER automatic watch lineup. Pre-orders begin on June 5, 2026.

About “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which has sold over 220 million copies across 23 volumes published in Shueisha’s Jump Comics, the anime follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is slaughtered by demons. After his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a way to restore her humanity. The series blends tragic human-demon stories, intense sword fights, memorable characters, and occasional comedic moments. The animation is produced by ufotable, with the first television season airing in April 2019. The feature film trilogy “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Infinity Castle” is currently in production; the first chapter, “Infinity Castle – The First Chapter: Akaza’s Revenge,” released on July 18, 2025, drew 27,455,968 viewers and earned 40.2 billion yen over 266 days in theaters, ranking second all-time in Japanese box office history. The Blu-ray and DVD release is scheduled for July 29.

A Blend of Tradition and Craftsmanship

The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba S-MEISTER Mechanical Watch” collaboration uses traditional Kanazawa gold leaf to reproduce each character’s essence. Each watch dial is hand-finished by skilled artisans, making every piece a unique work of art. The movement is Japanese-made and the watches are assembled in Japan, ensuring a high-quality made-in-Japan timepiece.

Shinazugawa Genya Model

The Shinazugawa Genya model features indices shaped like scars and a crow (Karasu) positioned at 12 o’clock. The disc that rotates every second is designed with Genya’s sword guard (tsuba) motif. The minute hand is shaped like Genya’s Nichirin Blade, while the hour hand takes the form of a matchlock gun (Nanban-teppo). Genya’s facial scars are also recreated on the dial using Kanazawa gold leaf.

Tsuyuri Kanao Model

For the Tsuyuri Kanao model, the 12 o’clock index features a butterfly motif inspired by Kanao’s hair ornament. The rotating disc at one-second intervals uses Kanao’s sword guard design. The minute hand is modeled after Kanao’s Nichirin Blade, and the hour hand represents her scabbard. The ribbon on Kanao’s haori is also depicted on the dial with Kanazawa gold leaf.

About Kanazawa Gold Leaf

Kanazawa gold leaf, famously used on Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), is produced in Kanazawa, Japan’s leading gold leaf production region, thanks to its suitable climate and history. Gold blocks are hammered to a thickness of about 0.1 μm (1/10,000 of a millimeter), then hand-colored by skilled artisans. Because each piece is crafted entirely by hand, individual differences in texture and shade are part of the charm.
