The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kazuto Mihara‘s World Is Dancing manga has announced additional cast members, a new character visual, and the second promotional video on Thursday. The anime is set to premiere on July 2 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and later on BS Asahi, Sun TV, and other stations.
Voice actors Matsuda Youji (Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo) and Sawashiro Miyuki (Ikoku Nikki) are joining the cast as Ineou and Shirabyoushi, respectively.
The anime is directed by Kuroyanagi Toshimasa (Fune wo Amu) at Cypic, with Kawamitsu Sawako handling series composition and script. Sasaki Keigo (Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) is designing the characters, and Shinoda Daisuke (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II) is composing the music.
Mihara began serializing the historical manga in Morning magazine in March 2021. Kodansha published the sixth and final volume in November 2022.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English and released all six volumes digitally between August 2023 and August 2024.
