The “G.E.M. Series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection Zero” figure is getting a re-release to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Code Geass” franchise. Pre-orders are now open at Bandai’s official online shop Premium Bandai, priced at 22,000 yen (tax included), with shipping scheduled for December 2026.
The “Code Geass” series began with the TV anime “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion” in 2006. Set in Japan, now called Area 11 under the rule of the Holy Britannian Empire, it follows protagonist Lelouch as he gains the absolute power of Geass and embarks on a path of revenge against the empire. The sequel “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2” aired nationwide from April to September 2008, and its shocking finale continues to be talked about to this day. Since then, the franchise has expanded into theatrical anime like “Code Geass: Akito the Exiled,” original comic series such as “Code Geass: Renya of Darkness” and “Code Geass: Oz the Reflection,” as well as musicals, orchestra concerts, exhibitions, games, and figures.
The re-released “G.E.M. Series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection Zero” figure was sculpted by Imai Yuu (Shinko Kogyo) and painted by Tc, under the thorough supervision of character designer Kimura Takahiro. Both the sculpt and coloring boast a high-quality finish.
By swapping parts, the figure can recreate a variety of expressions: the masked look, the unmasked face, and Gease activation with either one eye or both eyes active. The pose with Lelouch holding his mask can also be recreated, offering plenty of display options.
As a 20th anniversary commemorative re-release, the product packaging has been refreshed. It includes a special booklet of setting materials from “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection.” This is a perfect opportunity to add it to your collection.
