Manga artist Yazawa Ai and Yebisu Beer are teaming up once again for the second installment of their collaborative project, titled “Ebisu no Bijin-ga to Yoi Matsuri” (Ebisu’s Beautiful Paintings and Evening Festival). The event will run from July 8 to August 31, 2026 at YEBISU BREWERY TOKYO in Tokyo, and from July 13 to July 20, 2026 at JR Gate Tower in Nagoya.
About Yazawa Ai
Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Yazawa Ai made her manga debut in 1985. She is known for beloved series such as Tenshi nanka ja nai, Kinsei Monogatari, Paradise Kiss, and NANA. The latter became a social phenomenon and won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2002. This collaboration continues her long connection with Yebisu Beer, following the first project “Monode o Irodoru Ebisu no Bijin-ga-ten” (Ebisu Beauty Picture Exhibition to Celebrate New Beginnings), which was a hit interactive installation.
The Summer Festival Theme
The second project adopts a summer festival motif. At its heart are two newly drawn paintings by Yazawa Ai titled “Ryou – Dai Ikkei” (Cool – First View) and “Ryou – Dai Nikkei” (Cool – Second View). These will be displayed as a giant “beauty picture yagura” (tower) in both venues. The Tokyo venue will also feature an exclusive newly drawn artwork not shown in Nagoya. The entire space will be decorated with lanterns inspired by the artworks, immersing visitors in the world of the festival.

The Tokyo event includes a giant summer festival lottery that participants can enter by posting on social media. Winners receive a Yebisu logo sticker with a summer festival design. A dining area with wind chimes will allow guests to enjoy Yebisu Beer and special seasonal food menus. A limited-edition beer, “Ryouon no Hanayagi” (Cool Sound Splendor), will be sold exclusively at the Tokyo venue (only as long as stock lasts). Original collaboration goods featuring Yazawa Ai’s illustrations—such as a folding fan and a compact mirror—will also be available.

Nagoya Venue Details
At the Nagoya venue, the same two new paintings will be shown on the giant yagura. While the overall concept is similar, some activities differ from Tokyo. Visitors who purchase Yebisu Beer can try the summer festival lottery, with Yebisu logo stickers as prizes. Original collaboration goods will also be sold.
