The upcoming TV anime Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki. has released a new promotional video, along with cast and insert song details. The series is set to premiere in October 2026.
The story follows Kojima Mitsuki, a cool and handsome middle-aged man who secretly adores cute things. This heartwarming comedy explores the daily life of adults who cherish their love for all things adorable. The new PV offers the first look at Kojima’s secret struggles and the characters in animated motion.
In addition, a completely original story featuring Pugtarou—the character Kojima loves—along with his friends Bossy, Ann, Carrie, and Gurepi has been unveiled. The video previews the series’ unique blend of laughter and healing.
For the first time, a portion of the insert song “Pug-tto Icchatte ~” is also heard in the PV. The track is performed by Pugtarou & Friends, with lyrics, composition, and arrangement by YUPPA.

“I’ll be playing ‘Ojisan’ (Kojima Mitsuki, 41)! I’m Kazuyuki Okitsu! An uncle who loves cute things. But he’s a reliable boss who cares about appearances and can’t shout ‘Cute!!!!’ out loud. He lives earnestly to avoid being seen as creepy, which makes him look like an ‘ikemen ojisan.’ I gave my all to portray both his outer and inner sides. I hope everyone will love this uncle who adores Pugtarou.”
Miyu Tomita (Pugtarou) Comment
“I’ll be voicing Pugtarou. I’m Miyu Tomita. I had seen Pugtarou around town before encountering this work, so when I passed the audition, I was thrilled to think, ‘I get to play this little guy!’ The world is overflowing with cute things—I feel that every day, so Ojikawa is something I can completely relate to. Since all of Pugtarou’s expressions are in ‘Pug language,’ I opened drawers in myself I’d never opened before during recording. This series is sure to be a daily source of healing. Please look forward to it!”
