Godzilla Store Umeda is Relocating and Getting a Major Upgrade!
The official Godzilla store, Godzilla Store Umeda, is moving and will grand-reopen on April 6, 2026, on the 7th floor of NU Chayamachi in Umeda, Osaka. This move comes after the current floor at Daimaru Umeda is scheduled to close due to large-scale renovations. The new store will feature exclusive Godzilla Store merchandise and special novelties for fans.
The Godzilla Store brand has been expanding, with five domestic locations in Tokyo and Osaka. It has also gone international, opening Godzilla Store Taipei in September last year and Godzilla Store Malaysia this past January. With anticipation building for the latest Godzilla film by director Takashi Yamazaki, Godzilla -0.0 (releasing November 3), these stores serve as popular hubs for fans to immerse themselves in the Godzilla brand.
The current Godzilla Store Umeda on the 5th floor of Daimaru Umeda will operate until March 9, 2026, after which it will close for the relocation. The new location at NU Chayamachi promises an impressive centerpiece: a massive statue of Godzilla (2023) in its Heat Ray emission version, featuring glowing blue dorsal fins, to welcome visitors into Godzilla’s epic world.
To celebrate the relocation and grand reopening, the store will offer a full lineup of official goods, collector’s items, and lifestyle products packed with Godzilla’s appeal. Exclusive Godzilla Store items will also be rolled out, including figures and plush toys, ensuring there’s something for both hardcore and casual fans. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates!
Mark your calendars! The current store’s last day is March 9, 2026. The grand reopening at NU Chayamachi 7F is set for April 6, 2026. On the same day, the TOHO content complex entertainment shop, TOHO entertainment STORE, will also open on the same floor of NU Chayamachi.
