“Let me introduce myself again!” Subaru suddenly began a self-introduction upon waking, having been found collapsed. Emilia, Beatrice, and even Patrasche were bewildered. Subaru believed he had just arrived in this world after leaving a convenience store, but to the others, they had shared a long journey. The gap caused confusion on both sides.
Fortunately, Subaru quickly understood that his memories since being reincarnated had completely vanished. But the awkwardness remained—for Emilia and Beatrice, who had been forgotten, and for Subaru himself, no matter how cheerfully he acted. Despite the seemingly bright scene, the sadness is palpable when Subaru truly forgets Emilia and the others. The chaos deepens. The team begins to treat memory-less Subaru as a burden, creating cracks, and Subaru feels he cannot rely on them.
“Everyone is starting to exclude Subaru,” “He was pushed by someone, of course he’d be scared of everyone.” As viewers despaired, a second push leaves Subaru severely injured, pushing his mind to the limit. Screaming, fleeing, and then being tormented by the Sword Saint Reid—only screams remain. Finally realizing Return by Death, Subaru inadvertently leaves the watchtower, breaking the rules—and Shaula reacts with murderous intent. The episode ends on an ominous note, continuing next time.
