The official website for the television anime adaptation of Yuuto Suzuki‘s Sakamoto Days manga has revealed new staff, additional cast, a teaser visual, and a teaser promotional video for the second season. The second season is scheduled to premiere worldwide exclusively on Netflix in January 2027.

Produced by TMS Entertainment, the first season aired in split cours in Winter 2025 and Summer 2025. Netflix streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and an English dub.
Suzuki began drawing the action comedy manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in November 2020. Shueisha published the 27th volume on May 1, with the 28th volume scheduled for an August 4 release. VIZ Media licensed the manga for English release in July 2021 and published the 22nd volume on June 9, with the 23rd volume scheduled for release on September 15. Shueisha began simulpublishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus website in November 2020.
