The TV anime Toukutsuou (Grave Robber King) is set to begin airing on July 8, 2026, on Fuji TV’s “B8station” and other channels. On June 13, a world premiere event for episodes 1 and 2 was held, featuring a cast talk session.

Cast Talk Highlights
After the screening, the stage welcomed Hosoya Yoshimasa (Gouriki Ryuuga), Suwabe Junichi (Oogawara Yasumasa), Okamoto Nobuhiko (Kureha Noboru), and Hayami Saori (Eileen Holton). They discussed their performances and characters, as well as topics related to the series.
Hosoya revealed that the dubbing was done with completed visuals and music, which he found refreshing. When the MC noted the large amount of dialogue for Ryuuga early on, Hosoya admitted, “I’ve never done an anime where the protagonist explains everything. Recording monologues and lines all at once was tough.”

Asked about Oogawara, who initially employs Ryuuga but later causes his death, Suwabe stated firmly, “I’ve played many roles that oppose the protagonist, but I always say they are ‘enemies’ from the protagonist’s perspective, not ‘evil.’ However, Oogawara is a villain!” He added that he aimed to be disliked by the audience, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Okamoto said the name “Kureha Noboru” initially gave him a “strong character” impression, but he was surprised by the power reversal with Ryuuga. He described his character as the comedic relief and a viewer surrogate, saying, “I played him to let the audience’s emotions sway along with him.”

Hayami noted that Eileen is still mysterious in the first two episodes. “She’s surprisingly charming, cheerful, and easy to talk to. That creates a gap from what you might expect, which is part of the early story’s fun. But there is a scene where she awakens to another level…” she hinted.

Variety Corner: “Toukutsu Question!”
The cast answered questions related to the series. First: “What ability would you want?” Hosoya chose future sight, Hayami wanted to float, Suwabe wished to play all the roles he wants, and Okamoto answered, “The ability to make everyone laugh in situations like this.”
Second: “What relic do you have at home?” Okamoto mentioned a crystal he bought to stop rapping sounds in his house. Hayami has a tangled accessory from her grandmother that she hasn’t used yet. Suwabe revealed a 10-year-old Garigari-kun ice cream. Hosoya, being left-handed, talked about left-handed scissors and the struggles of lefties.

The event also unveiled the main visual and second PV. The cast noted that Kureha Noboru is missing from the main visual, causing laughter. Additional cast and theme song information were also announced.

Final Messages
Okamoto praised Hosoya’s performance for enhancing the series’ tempo and battle realism, and joked, “As Noboru, I hope I can make it onto the key visual someday.” Suwabe also praised Hosoya’s hard work and reiterated, “Oogawara Yasumasa is a villain.”
Hayami expressed hope that viewers would find catharsis through Ryuuga’s relentless drive, and teased that Eileen will have satisfying scenes later. Hosoya concluded by saying, “I think this is a rare type of work. The way the protagonist pays back his opponents double is crafted with a satisfying rhythm,” building anticipation for the broadcast.
