Bandai has announced the release of the “Tamagotchi Card Holder” series, a new lineup of collectible card holders celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic digital pet. The holders will launch at mass retailers nationwide in November 2026, priced at 429 yen (tax included).
Tamagotchi first launched on November 23, 1996, and became a massive phenomenon, especially among high school girls. After a revival in 2004 with the “Kaettekita! Tamagotchi Plus” featuring infrared communication, the series has continued to evolve with new features and has been released worldwide. As of the end of July 2025, cumulative global shipments have reached 100 million units.
The “Tamagotchi Card Holder” lineup includes 14 different designs, covering the entire history of the device. From the original “Tamagotchi White” and “Tamagotchi Pink” to the latest “Tamagotchi Paradise,” fans can find their favorite era. The full list of designs is as follows:

Each card holder measures approximately 13 cm in length and comes with a card that can be inserted and carried around. The holders also include a piece of gum (soda flavor). Collecting multiple designs is a fun way to celebrate the 30th anniversary.
