Yatterman Cosplayers Star in Retro-Street T-Shirt Collaboration with over print

New T-shirts from the apparel brand “over print” are putting cosplayers front and center, featuring designs that show fans dressed as Yatterman 1, 2, and the villainous Doronjo. The collaboration with the classic anime Time Bokan Series: Yatterman goes on sale June 27, 2026, at over print online and other stores.

Yatterman is the second entry in the Time Bokan series and a definitive Tatsunoko gag anime that cemented the franchise’s popularity. The story follows the heroic Yatterman and the thieving Doronbo gang as they race around the world in search of the legendary Dokuro Stone, said to reveal the location of a golden treasure. The series aired 108 episodes from January 1977 to January 1979.

For this collaboration, illustrator PURU PURU PUNK (KOSUKE HASHIJIMA) created original artwork that blends the retro charm of the anime with street culture, resulting in designs unique to over print. Rather than depicting the characters themselves, the illustrations show cosplayers dressed as Yatterman 1, Yatterman 2, Doronjo, Boyacky, Yatterwan and Tonzura, and the Doronbo gang (in two variations).

In total, eight designs are available: Yatterman 1, Yatterman 2, Yatterman 1 & 2, Doronjo, Boyacky, Yatterwan and Tonzura, and two versions of the Doronbo gang. Each design comes in white and black color options.

On June 27, 2026, a pop-up store will open at “over print TOKYO POP UP STORE” in Tokyo, where the collaboration T-shirts will also be sold. The pop-up will feature guest staff members Chise and Sunazuri Karin.
