Fans of The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) will soon have a chance to dive deeper into the world of the beloved light novel series. A new original exhibition, titled “The Apothecary Diaries Original Exhibition: Poison and Medicine, Science and Mystery,” is set to open at the Hanshin Umeda Main Store in Osaka.
The exhibition will run from July 15 (Wednesday) to July 27 (Monday), 2026, on the 8th floor event space. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing, and the final day ends at 5:00 PM.
Exhibition Highlights
Visitors can explore a “corridor” that traces the history of the series, along with character setting materials, relationship charts, and a “deep reading” section that delves into the mysteries of the story. Key items from the narrative will also be on display. The exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the world created by author Natsu Hyuuga and illustrator Touko Shino.
In addition, a “Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Great Dissection” section will feature comments from Hyuuga, revealing behind-the-scenes insights into the creative process. Photo spots and original exhibition goods will also be available.
The exhibition promises a sensory experience, allowing fans to enjoy the rich world of The Apothecary Diaries in ways that go beyond turning pages.
Limited Goods and Osaka-Exclusive Visual
A range of limited-edition original goods will be sold at the venue. Items include an official brush writing piece and a fan that reproduces designs from the story. The fan is priced at 2,750 yen (tax included), and a can badge set is 1,100 yen (tax included).
For the Osaka venue, a special key visual will be displayed, and goods featuring that visual will also be available for purchase.

Special Postcard Campaign
Visitors who show their exhibition ticket and spend 1,400 yen or more on food or drinks at the 9th floor Hanshin restaurant or the 3rd to 7th floor cafes (excluding Starbucks Coffee, Botanically, and Sesame Street Market) will receive an Osaka-exclusive original postcard. The campaign is limited to the first 3,000 guests, while supplies last.
The Apothecary Diaries is a hit series with over 45 million copies in circulation. The TV anime’s second season ended in July 2025, and a third season is scheduled for October 2026, airing in two split cours. A film adaptation is also set for December 2026.
