The largest BL real event to date, “Boys Love Tokyo 2026 (BLT2026),” was held on June 27–28, 2026, at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. The event brought together over 50 BL artists and offered exhibitions, newly drawn merchandise, a cafe, and more. A preview for press and industry guests took place on June 26. This report covers the immersive displays and highlights from each area.

In Exhibition Hall B, nine unique displays allowed visitors to “experience” BL in ways only possible at this event.
A special “BLT Shrine” was set up to commemorate the event. Visitors could draw fortunes that predict recommended pairings, and write their love for works or characters on original ema (votive tablets) to “offer” them. The participating artists also contributed their own illustrated ema for display.

Panels featuring newly drawn illustrations by participating artists were also on display. A total of 81 characters, all depicted in formal attire adorned with fresh flowers, were gathered together, creating a popular photo spot.

Another exhibition area presented iconic scenes from each work in spaces themed around “emotions.” Visitors could move between works and immerse themselves in the atmosphere each story creates. In one section, a display allowed fans to experience the dream of “becoming a wall” — a long-cherished fantasy among BL enthusiasts.

A “Kink Chart” diagnosis was also available. By answering a series of questions, attendees could discover their personal “likes” tendencies. The results fell into eight types, such as “Relationship Otaku” and “Happy Ending Supremacist,” and could be shared on social media with the hashtag #性癖チャート診断.

Exhibition Hall A hosted the cafe, merchandise sales, stage events, and autograph sessions. The pop-up cafe by Animate Cafe offered a limited-edition drink set that included an acrylic coaster and a straw marker, both featuring newly drawn designs from the 40 participating works. Visitors could choose from four drink types and pair them with any of the 40 works.

At the merchandise area, commemorative goods using newly drawn and existing illustrations were sold. As a venue-exclusive bonus, customers who spent 5,000 yen (tax included) or more received one pack of “Pashakore” (three designs per pack, blind) per 5,000 yen. A limited visual book containing newly drawn illustrations from all 40 works was also available for purchase at the same-day ticket counter.

In addition, nine stage events featuring BL artists, voice actors, and actors were held, along with real autograph sessions by 19 artists. Fans could get signatures directly on acrylic plates, a special experience. The event offered a comprehensive way to enjoy the appeal of BL works through exhibitions, experiences, goods, and stage performances — a must-see for BL fans.
