The official X (Twitter) account for the Blade & Bastard anime has revealed the main staff and a second teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Source Material
The anime adapts the action fantasy light novel by Kumo Kagyuu, illustrated by so-bin (Overlord). The series launched under the DRE Novels imprint in December 2022. Drecom published the sixth volume on March 10.
English Releases
J-Novel Club simulpublishes the novel digitally in English and has released the fifth volume in October 2025. The sixth volume will go on sale on September 8. Yen Press licensed the novel for physical release in English and shipped the fifth volume on May 12.
Manga Adaptation
Makoto Fuugetsu began drawing a manga adaptation on the DRE Comic website in June 2023. The eighth volume was shipped on June 20. Yen Press licensed the manga adaptation in April 2024 and published the fourth volume on June 23. The fifth volume is scheduled for release on September 22.
