Animation studio Rock’n Roll Mountain has announced a short anime movie adaptation of Akiko Okuda’s short manga story Rusuban (Babysitting). The announcement came on Thursday, along with the cast, staff, a visual, and a trailer. The movie is scheduled to open on August 1, 2026, at K’s cinema in Shinjuku for a one-week limited theatrical run.

The movie adapts Okuda’s short story, which is part of the Shinzou anthology manga. Leed Publishing published the anthology as a single volume in July 2019.
