Godzilla’s Dorsal Fins Become Edible? Summer Limited ‘Godzilla Japanese-Style Black Cold Udon’ at Nijigen no Mori

The iconic dorsal fins of the King of the Monsters are now appearing on a plate – as a summer limited udon topping. At the restaurant “Mori no Terrace,” adjacent to the popular “Godzilla Interception Operation” attraction at Awaji Island’s anime park Nijigen no Mori, two seasonal food items are being offered from July 9.

Returning Favorite: Ice Brûlée Crepe with Godzilla Footprints

First up is the eagerly awaited return of the “Ice Brûlée Crepe with Godzilla Footprints,” which was a hit when sold two years ago. This summer-perfect dessert combines a crispy, caramelized surface with a cool, smooth ice cream interior, and is topped with a footprint-shaped decoration.

New Summer Version: Godzilla Japanese-Style Black Cold Udon

The main attraction of the menu is the “Godzilla Japanese-Style Black Cold Udon,” a summer-only variant of the popular “Godzilla Japanese-Style Black Udon” from the attraction. Served with chilled broth for a refreshing taste, the dish features a dramatic arrangement of fried tofu shaped like Godzilla’s signature dorsal fins, making it as visually imposing as it is delicious.

Exclusive Godzilla Goods at the Attraction

In addition to the food, the “Godzilla Interception Operation” attraction offers a range of exclusive Godzilla merchandise, including hats and figures that can only be purchased at Nijigen no Mori. Wearing a cool hat or cute headband while experiencing the attraction deepens the immersion into Godzilla’s world.

Godzilla first appeared in 1954 and has captivated audiences worldwide for over 70 years. The 2023 film Godzilla Minus One won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, and the Hollywood crossover Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire grossed over 84.5 billion yen globally. Director Yamazaki Takashi’s latest film, Godzilla-0.0, is set for release on November 3, 2026, ensuring the King of the Monsters continues to reign supreme.

Enjoy the summer limited food that brings Godzilla’s world to life, available only at this location!
