The production committee for the ice show Touken Ranbu – ICE BLADE – has unveiled a new character visual: Heshikiri Hasebe: Image on Ice ver. This is the eighth in a series of original illustrations created specifically for the event by the staff of the original Touken Ranbu ONLINE game.
Touken Ranbu ONLINE is a sword-training simulation game that has surpassed 14 million cumulative users. Players become a “Saniwa” (spiritual inspector) who leads sword warriors known as “Touken Danshi” — legendary blades transformed into human fighters — to protect history. The game features eight types of swords: tantou, wakizashi, uchigatana, tachi, oodachi, naginata, yari, and ken, each with unique personalities.
Heshikiri Hasebe is an uchigatana said to have been forged by the Nanbokucho-era swordsmith Hasebe Kunishige. Its name derives from the legend that Oda Nobunaga used it to cut down a tea server who had been rude, along with the serving shelf. Later passed to the Kuroda family, it is now a National Treasure — a blade with a fierce history. The character embodies both unwavering loyalty to his master and a sharp, ruthless edge. The ice show will express the moment these two sides intersect through the speed and presence unique to figure skating on a silver rink.
Ticket Information
Starting July 3 (Friday), advance ticket lotteries via L’Encore and Pre-Request will open. The event will also offer a ticket resale system: winners can either receive their purchased tickets or put them up for resale (either all tickets in the application or only companion tickets).

Story
Year 2205. The “History Revisionists” begin attacks on the past in an attempt to alter history. The government of the time sends out “Saniwa” — those who can awaken the spirits of sleeping objects and grant them the power to fight. The manifested tsukumogami, the Touken Danshi, throw themselves into battle to protect history.
In a certain citadel, one that is guarded by the five elemental shrines of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, the citadel has a special duty: to monitor “False Writings” — distortions that corrupt and rewrite true history. One day, a five-headed dragon suddenly attacks the citadel, destroying the shrines and scattering the elemental spirits into the False Writings. Deep within the citadel, the Ice Spirit awakens…
Can Mikazuki Munechika and the others rescue the spirits from the distorted histories created by the False Writings? A new battle of the Touken Danshi — the “Ice Blade” — begins.
