Production company GREE Entertainment has announced a second season for the Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku (Loner Life in Another World) television anime, along with an announcement visual. The first season, produced by Passione and Hayabusa Film, aired 12 episodes in Fall 2024. Sentai Filmworks licensed and streamed the series on HIDIVE with English subtitles and a dub.
The light novel series, written by Shouji Goji, began serialization on Shousetsuka ni Narou in October 2016. Overlap published the first volume in January 2018. Illustrations were handled by booota for the first two volumes and by Saku Enomaru from volume three onward. The 18th volume was released on April 20, and the series has a cumulative 4.3 million copies in circulation.
A manga adaptation by Bibi began serialization in Comic Gardo in January 2019. The 26th volume was released on January 25, with the 27th volume scheduled for July 20.
In English, Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel in February 2021, and Kaiten Books licensed the manga in March 2020. The 14th light novel volume went on sale on April 21, with the 15th volume set for September 29. The 12th manga volume was digitally released in June 2025.
