TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries) has teamed up with Shionogi Healthcare’s eczema and dermatitis treatment line “Lindron Vs” for a special summer collaboration campaign. The campaign features two new web commercials titled “Midsummer Skin Mystery” (真夏の皮膚の謎), now streaming on Shionogi Healthcare’s official YouTube channel.

Web CM: Maomao and Jinshi Explain Proper Use
The two web CM shorts—”Insect Bites” (虫さされ) and “Proper Application” (適切な塗り方)—star the series’ protagonists Maomao and Jinshi, who gently and correctly explain how to use topical steroid medications. The lighthearted yet informative approach aims to educate viewers on proper skin care during the hot summer months.
Campaign Details and Prizes
Running from July 1, 2026, at 10:00 to August 31, 2026, at 23:59, the campaign offers participants a chance to receive exclusive goods. To enter, purchase any eligible Lindron Vs product, then visit the campaign’s special website to answer a quiz and upload a photo of your receipt. All participants will receive an original smartphone wallpaper featuring Maomao and Jinshi. Additionally, 100 winners will be selected by lottery to receive one of the following prizes:
- A Prize: Original drawstring pouch with medicine bag design – 20 winners
- B Prize: Chibi character original Lindron cap (Maomao design) – 40 winners

About Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
The series, which has surpassed 45 million copies in cumulative circulation, is a popular palace mystery entertainment set in the imperial court. It follows the story of Maomao, a young girl working as a poison taster, as she solves various difficult cases. The TV anime celebrated its second anniversary on October 22, 2025, and has announced a third season and the franchise’s first theatrical film.
