Voice actor Ichiryusai Teiyu recently shared a birthday post on X (formerly Twitter) that has fans celebrating and cheering.
Ichiryusai Teiyu is known for voicing iconic anime characters such as Masao-kun in Crayon Shin-chan, Shinbei in Nintama Rantarou, and Kosugi in Chibi Maruko-chan. She also works as a professional storyteller (koudanshi).
In her latest post, Ichiryusai wrote, “Mayumi-chan celebrated my birthday,” and shared an off-shot photo.
Ichiryusai’s birthday is June 20. The photo also features voice actor Tanaka Mayumi, and the two are seen celebrating with glasses in hand.
Tanaka also appears in Nintama Rantarou as the voice of Kirimaru.
Seeing the two friends together in private, fans expressed joy with comments like “Shinbei is drinking with Kirimaru!” “What a wonderful two-shot,” “A truly splendid sight,” “Thank you for always being Kirimaru and Shinbei,” and “Shinbei and Kirimaru!!!”
Some fans also noticed a resemblance between Ichiryusai and Tanaka.
