Warning: The following contains spoilers for episode 25. Proceed with caution.
The Day of Prophecy Arrives
In the story, July 19, 1999, is marked as the “Day of Prophecy,” and that day has finally come. Even as fate looms, the four candidates—Kurasu Eliza, Ieiri Shiruku, Hoba Kurea, and Kaneda Rei—go about their ordinary lives. Among them, Hoba Kurea visits the “Pretty Holic” above the Kyatto Detective Agency, where Anna and Mikuru are. Suddenly, Jet-senpai rushes up the stairs shouting, “It’s done!” The perfume that can restore Cure Éclair’s memories is finally complete. Anna and Mikuru smirk behind Kurea, and viewers commented, “Jet-senpai, Mikuru, and Anna are all smiling—so cute!”
After the opening, the scene shifts to the Phantom Thief group. The day of prophecy written in Mirage’s book has arrived. However, Usonoir is panicking because the crucial Makoto Jewel is not yet in hand. He decides to use the “Cure Éclair’s Makoto Jewel” that appeared in the previous episode to execute the prophecy. Ruruka grows anxious and tries to transform and fight, but Mashtan stops her. Niji explains, “The Makoto Jewels we usually collect and the Precure’s Makoto Jewel are different things,” trying to dissuade him. Usonoir ignores this and resolves to use Cure Éclair’s Makoto Jewel.
Back at the Kyatto Detective Agency, Anna and Mikuru explain the perfume’s purpose to Kurea: “Among the four of you—Eliza, Shiruku, Rei, and Kurea—there is a detective who has lost her memories.” Just then, a notice from the Phantom Thief group arrives, delivered by Mashtan alone. Viewers were impressed: “Mashtan threw it?!” “He can do anything!” The notice reveals where Usonoir will appear. Anna and the others deduce from the clues that Usonoir will be at Land Makoto Tower. They leave Kurea behind and rush to the scene. On the way, they pass Eliza and Rei but have no meaningful conversation.
At Land Makoto Tower, the Phantom Thief group and Usonoir appear. The crowd panics, but Usonoir uses the power of lies to erase everyone present. Anna, Mikuru, and Jet-senpai arrive. Just as a full-scale battle between Precure and the Phantom Thief group seems imminent, Ruruka declares, “I’ve been waiting—this is my chance,” transforms, and surprisingly sides with the Precure. Anna and Mikuru also transform as the episode moves into its second half. Viewers erupted: “Cure Arcana Shadow finally betrays!” “Such a heated turn—enemy becomes ally!”
Usonoir’s True Identity Also Revealed
A battle begins between Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Arcana Shadow vs. Niji, Agesène, and Goemon. As they fight evenly, Usonoir intervenes and reveals his true identity to Answer and the others. To everyone’s shock, Usonoir is actually a fairy—just like Pochitan and Mashtan. Viewers were stunned: “I can’t help but soften…” “No way…” The Precure and Pochitan are equally dumbfounded, but the Phantom Thief members seem to know the truth. Usonoir merges with Cure Éclair’s Makoto Jewel and transforms into a giant monster. The monster is visible to ordinary people, and Shiruku, Eliza, and Kurea witness it. Eliza and Kurea, knowing Anna and Mikuru are at the scene, rush to help.
As prophesied, Usonoir becomes a great king, but due to the influence of Cure Éclair’s Makoto Jewel, he goes berserk, attacking friend and foe alike. Answer, Mystic, and Arcana Shadow try to stop him, but are overwhelmed by his power.
Finally, Cure Éclair’s True Identity…
Pochitan grabs the perfume and runs to find Cure Éclair. He encounters Hoba Kurea, who is surprised that Pochitan can speak. Moved by his desperate words, she calms down. Many viewers were touched: “Pochitan is talking so earnestly… crying.” However, Kurea says, “Even if I smell the lily scent, I can’t remember the detective’s memories.” Still, she decides to help Pochitan search for the detective. Viewers began to wonder: “It’s not Kurea?” “Then who’s left?”
Kurea and Pochitan meet Rei next. A gust of wind from Usonoir’s rampage sends Pochitan and the perfume flying. Rei catches Pochitan, but the perfume falls and breaks. Meanwhile, Niji, Agesène, and Goemon cooperate to deploy a field covering the world, even as Usonoir loses his mind. Viewers cheered: “Such a hot development!” “What a cool field deployment!” The field expands, engulfing not only Usonoir but also Pochitan and Kurea. Rei watches as Pochitan and Kurea vanish before her eyes.
Inside the field, Pochitan watches Kurea sadly. As she cries, “I couldn’t find the detective, the Precure,” she suddenly murmurs, “Pre… Cure…?” At that moment, the lingering scent of the perfume triggers memories of her past with Ruruka. Suddenly, the ribbon Kurea wears begins to glow, and Shushutan appears, saying, “I believed you would come back, shu.” Cure Éclair’s true identity is finally revealed to be Hoba Kurea. Viewers went wild: “It was Kurea!” “I guessed right!”
Shushutan hands Kurea a mysterious item, saying, “I’ve been keeping this for you for this day, shu,” and urges her to go help the Precure. Meanwhile, Anna, Mikuru, and Ruruka refuse to give up even after their transformations are undone. In the dire moment, Kurea, having regained her memories, rushes in. The Makoto Jewel inside Usonoir flies out and returns to Kurea’s hand. Agesène exclaims, “That girl!” Mashtan and even Ruruka show frustrated expressions. Viewers wondered, “Why is Ruruka making that face?”
The episode ends with Anna and Mikuru realizing that Cure Éclair is Kurea. The final scene was described as “divine,” and fans are already excited for the next episode. In the following commercial, the item Shushutan gave is revealed to be a transformation item, and the preview shows Cure Éclair transforming. The transformation scene will be unveiled next week.
The long-standing mystery of Cure Éclair’s identity is solved: it’s Hoba Kurea! The episode was full of surprises, but new mysteries remain: Usonoir being a fairy, Ruruka’s strange reaction, and Niji’s odd behavior. The biggest puzzle is why Ruruka, who seemed so close to Kurea, looked so upset when her memories returned. Stay tuned for the next episode!
