The upcoming anime arc Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama U-17 WORLD CUP Kesshou Member Kettei-sen (New Prince of Tennis U-17 World Cup Final Member Decision Arc) is set to premiere in fall 2026. Alongside the release of the third teaser visual, the opening and ending theme songs have been announced, as well as a new cast member for the Spanish representative team.
Background
Based on the manga by Konomi Takeshi, Prince of Tennis began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1999. The story follows genius middle schooler Echizen Ryoma as he joins Seishun Academy’s tennis club, facing off against unique teammates and rivals in intense matches and comedic moments. The new arc focuses on the internal battle within the Japanese representative team to decide the members who will face Spain in the U-17 World Cup final.
Teaser Visual and Theme Songs
The third teaser visual depicts Hyoutei Gakuen teammates Atobe Keigo and Oshitari Yushi facing off against each other as they compete for a spot in the U-17 World Cup final.
The opening theme is “Walls And Bridges” performed by the four-member unit Aozu (comprising Echizen Ryoma, Tezuka Kunimitsu, Oishi Shuichiro, and Fuji Syusuke). The song is written and composed by UZA, with arrangement by Nakamura Yasunari (FEEL MEE UNIT).
The ending theme is “Kinkanshoku phenomenal” performed by Atobe Keigo & Oshitari Yushi. Lyrics are by Kuwahara Nagae, with composition and arrangement by Kurokawa Yosuke (FEEL MEE UNIT).
Cast Announcement
It has also been revealed that Shirota Yu will voice Romeo Fernandez, a member of the Spanish representative team. Shirota previously played Tezuka Kunimitsu in the Prince of Tennis musicals.
