The official website for the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya franchise unveiled a second teaser visual for the sequel anime on Monday. The television anime, titled Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya Finale, is scheduled to premiere in 2027. Returning cast and main staff from previous installments are confirmed.

Staff
Takahashi Ken (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!) is returning to direct the sequel at Silver Link., with Oonuma Shin (Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha) reprising as the chief director. Returning staff also include series composers Inoue Kenji (Grand Blue original creator) and Minase Hazuki (C³), and character designer Hirata Kazuya (Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san).
Background
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya adapts Hiroyama Hiroshi‘s alternative spin-off manga, the first installment of which ran in Comp Ace from September 2007 to November 2008. The second manga ran in the same magazine between April 2009 and March 2012. Hiroyama began drawing the third and latest installment—Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!—in May that year. Kadokawa published the 14th volume in June 2024.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in September 2024 and published the first volume in February 2025.
Silver Link. adapted the manga into four television anime in four consecutive Summer seasons from 2013 to 2016. Crunchyroll simulcast each season as they aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks distributed the first three seasons on home video in North America in September 2014, February 2016, January 2017, respectively.
The Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya Movie: Sekka no Chikai (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Vow in the Snow) prequel anime movie opened in Japan in August 2017. A theatrical original video anime subtitled Prisma☆Phantasm premiered in June 2019. Sentai Filmworks released both anime on home video in July 2020.
Synopsis
Following a fierce battle against the Ainsworth family, Illya and her friends uncover the truth behind Pandora. As Julian opens Pandora Box to end Erika’s suffering, Illya holds fast to her ideal of saving everyone. However, Darius takes control of Julian’s body to fulfill the Ainsworth family’s plan to save humanity. With calamity threatening to consume the world, Illya, Miyu, and Chloe make their final stand against Darius to save the dying world.
