The manga Studio Cabana (スタジオカバナ) by Uma Aguri is officially set to receive a TV anime adaptation in 2027. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual has been unveiled, and details have emerged about a fan voting project to determine the singing artist for the character Kusaka Yusuke. Comments from the original creator and voice actress Suzushiro Sayumi, who reprises her role as Maki Yukari, have also been released.
Originally serialized on the web comic platform Sylph, Studio Cabana has been gaining massive popularity, especially among female readers on TikTok. The story follows Kusaka Yusuke, a young man with an intimidatingly handsome appearance and an aura that keeps everyone at a distance, and Maki Yukari, the only person who dares to stand up to him. Their lives change when Yukari accidentally sees Yusuke singing at a music studio called Studio Cabana, setting off a chain of events that brings these two seemingly incompatible individuals together.
The newly released teaser visual captures a key early scene on the school rooftop, featuring the tagline: “If this isn’t love, then what is it? Tell me.”
Fan Vote to Choose the Voice of Kusaka Yusuke’s Songs
In a unique initiative, the production team has launched an audition and fan voting campaign to select the singing artist who will provide the “voice” for Kusaka Yusuke’s songs. The final decision will be made by a panel including the original author, the director, the music producer, and the anime producer, with viewer votes also taken into account. Candidate singing videos will be released on official social media channels and YouTube in the coming months.
