An official website has opened for the television anime adaptation of Shikiso Utsuzawa‘s light novel Shin no Seijo de Aru Watashi wa Tsuihou saremashita. Dakara Kono Kuni wa Mou Owari desu (also known as Because I, the True Saint, Was Banished, That Country Is Done For!). The site revealed the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual on Thursday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
Voice actors Masumi Tazawa (Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?) and Taku Yashiro (Domestic na Kanojo) will star as Eliane and Nigel, respectively.

Utsuzawa began writing the fantasy romance novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in June 2020. Kodansha later acquired the series and started publishing the light novel in print under its K Ranobe Books imprint in February 2021, with illustrations by Pukyunosuke. The seventh volume was released in December 2024, and the series has 1.5 million copies in circulation.
A manga adaptation drawn by Mokuba Matsu began serialization on the Palcy web service in April 2021. The 12th volume was released on February 27, and the 13th volume is scheduled for July 30.
Kodansha began simulpublishing the manga in English on its K Manga service as Because I, the True Saint, Was Banished, That Country Is Done For!. Kodansha USA has also published the volumes digitally since March 2024, and physically as of March 31. The 11th volume was released digitally on May 12.
