The summer 2026 anime ‘Tenmaku no Jaadougaru’ has released the synopsis and preview images for its fifth episode, titled ‘The Snake’s Spots Are on the Outside, a Person’s Spots Are on the Inside’ (蛇のまだらは外側に 人のまだらは内側に), which will begin airing on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
Based on the historical manga by Tomato Soup serialized in Akita Shoten’s ‘Souffle’ magazine, ‘Tenmaku no Jaadougaru’ is a harem drama set in 13th-century Mongolia. The story follows Shitara (Fatima), a former slave girl taken prisoner by the Mongol Empire, who meets Doregene, the sixth wife of the Mongol emperor, and together they use their wits to shake the empire.
The anime is directed by Abel Gongora with chief director Yamada Naoko. Animation production is handled by Science SARU, known for ‘Dandadan’, ‘The Heike Story’, and ‘Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!’. The cast includes Sekine Akira as Shitara, Koshimizu Ami as Doregene, Kuwashima Houko as Fatima, Saito Jun as Muhammad, Shimono Hiro as Ogotai, Suzuki Ryota as Tolui, Irino Miyu as Shila, Namikawa Daisuke as Chagatai, and Nojima Kenji as Juchi.
Episode 5 Synopsis
Under a secret order from Solkokutani, Shitara is tasked with investigating the movements of the second prince Chagatai, who could become a spark for conflict.
With the help of Shila, she successfully makes the necessary arrangements.
However, just then, she happens to be in possession of a ‘jada stone,’ which leads to Doregene, the sixth wife of the third prince Ogotai, accusing her of theft and pressing her for answers.
Episode 5 of ‘Tenmaku no Jaadougaru’ will air on Saturday, July 25, 2026, on the ‘IMAnimation’ slot on TV Asahi nationwide network and BS Asahi, among others.
Broadcast details: The first episode aired on July 4, 2026 (Saturday) at 11:00 p.m. as a 1-hour special with two consecutive episodes. Subsequent episodes air every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. on TV Asahi nationwide network ‘IMAnimation’ slot and BS Asahi.
