New merchandise from Shin Seiki Evangelion has been unveiled, including T-shirts, jinbei (traditional summer wear), a beer mug, and graphic tag keychains. The items are now available for pre-order at COSPA.
The series, which follows 14-year-old pilots fighting mysterious enemies called Angels using the humanoid weapons Evangelion, has captivated audiences worldwide with its deep psychological themes and epic narrative. After the conclusion of the Rebuild of Evangelion film series with Shin Evangelion Gekijouban, a new series was announced at the 30th anniversary event in February 2026, with further details eagerly awaited.
T-Shirts for Every Fan
Three T-shirt designs are on offer. The “All Angels” T-shirt features the first 17 Angels plus the number “18” around the collar. The “NERV Tactical Operations Department, Operations Bureau Section 1” T-shirt is styled after the gear issued to Katsuragi Misato’s division. Finally, the “Anata Baka?” T-shirt showcases Asuka’s iconic line.
All T-shirts are made from 5.6-ounce fabric, offering durability, breathability, and moisture absorption for year-round comfort. The fabric uses anti-pilling yarn for a smooth feel, and the seamless tubular body construction prevents twisting after washing. The ribbed collar allows easy on/off, and double stitching at the neck and cuffs ensures long-lasting wear.
Summer-Ready Jinbei
Perfect for hot weather, two jinbei designs are available: one with NERV branding and one with Evangelion motifs. These lightweight Japanese garments use shijira-ori fabric, which features a textured surface that resists sticking to the skin and enhances airflow.
The jinbei include one pocket on the jacket and two on the pants, making them convenient for short outings. An elastic waistband with drawcord ensures a comfortable fit for various body types, ideal for relaxing at home or evening strolls.
Misato’s Beer Mug and More
A standout accessory is the Katsuragi Misato beer mug, emblazoned with her quote, “Yappari jinsei kono toki no tame ni ikite iru you na mono ne.” (“After all, it feels like I live for moments like this.”) The 350ml glass mug is dishwasher-safe and complies with new food sanitation laws.
Also new are full-color printed graphic tag keychains featuring five characters: Ikari Shinji, Ayanami Rei, Shikinami Asuka Langley, Nagisa Kaworu, and Makinami Mari Illustrious. Each tag measures approximately 11cm by 4cm, made from thick polyester fabric with overlock stitching to prevent fraying. Two metal fittings (a lobster clasp and a double ring) allow attachment to bags, belt loops, or key rings.
Release and Pre-Sale Information
The “All Angels” and “NERV Tactical Operations Department” T-shirts will be available for early purchase at the COSPA booth during Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer] on July 26, 2026. The NERV jinbei will have early sales starting in late August 2026 at the EVANGELION STORE online, select physical EVANGELION STORE locations, and Toei Uzumasa Eigamura. All items are scheduled for general release in early October 2026.
