Two romance adventure games from the Tennis no Oujisama (Prince of Tennis) series have finally launched. “Tennis no Oujisama: Motto Gakuensai no Oujisama (Heart) -40 and more…” (abbreviated as “GakuPri”) and “Tennis no Oujisama: Gyutto! Dokidoki Survival Tie break (Heart) game” (abbreviated as “DokiSaba”) were released on July 30, 2026 (Thursday).
The original Tennis no Oujisama manga by Konomi Takeshi began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1999. Centered on “youth × tennis,” the story follows genius middle schooler Echizen Ryoma as he joins the Seishun Academy tennis club, engaging in heated matches and comedic youth dramas with a colorful cast of friends and rivals.
“GakuPri” is a remaster of the 2005 title Tennis no Oujisama: Gakuensai no Oujisama, while “DokiSaba” remasters two games: Tennis no Oujisama: Dokidoki Survival – Sanrei no Mystic (December 2006) and Tennis no Oujisama: Dokidoki Survival – Umibe no Secret (January 2007). “GakuPri” includes 38 romanceable characters, and “DokiSaba” features 44.
Both games add newly drawn CGs. Players can switch between the remastered and original versions of the CGs, and the UI has been optimized for smoother gameplay.
In “GakuPri,” players take on the role of a joint school festival committee member, deepening bonds with the 38 characters through festival preparations and events unique to the school festival setting.
“DokiSaba,” on the other hand, is a romance adventure set on a deserted island. Players cooperate with 44 characters to survive in an isolated environment, revealing new sides of the characters that emerge only in extreme situations.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition features full-screen high resolution and the ability to share mini-dramas created in-game via local communication. Additionally, following the “Video Posting Guidelines” released on July 16, anyone can stream or upload gameplay videos.
