The latest installment in the Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 series, Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 Chapter 7: Rainbow Reincarnation (Nijiiro no Rinne), is set to hit theaters on October 30, 2026. A new trailer has been released, along with details for the Blu-ray and DVD volume 7, with orders opening on July 31.
Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 is a reinterpretation of the 1980 film Yamato yo Towa ni, reorganized into seven chapters (26 episodes). The story follows the crew of the Yamato as they confront the mysterious Dezarium. In Chapter 7, the final chapter, Sasha loses her sense of self, Alfon reaches a terrifying conclusion, and the Grand Reverse bomb threatens to reset all humanity. The partisan fleet gathers, and the Yamato charges into the Dezarium home planet.
The trailer features the song “Ai yo Sono Hi Made” by Fuse Akira as BGM, hinting at the final battle.
Blu-ray & DVD Volume 7
The Blu-ray & DVD volume 7 of Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 will be released. A special limited edition (limited quantity) includes a scenario and storyboard collection with a new cover by Yuuki Nobuteru, a Director Works reader, and a special record book. Priced at 11,500 yen (tax included), it will be available at theaters from October 30, and at A-on STORE and Yamato Crew from November 6. The regular edition will be released on December 23, with Blu-ray at 11,220 yen and DVD at 8,580 yen (both tax included). It contains episodes 23–26 (Chapter 7, approximately 97 minutes) plus video extras, audio commentaries for three episodes, and a special record book. The first press bonus for all items is a new illustrated sleeve by Kato Naoyuki.
Movie ticket cards featuring the teaser visual are available at theaters and online. Digital movie tickets with a teaser visual and viewing record are also on sale.
