Fans around the world have spoken, and now the most beloved episodes of the early Digimon anime series are coming to television. The new program Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure will broadcast the top-ranked episodes from Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Frontier, as chosen by a global fan vote. The show kicks off on Fuji TV and other networks on October 4, 2026, airing every Sunday at 9:00 AM.
30th Anniversary Project Begins
June 26, 1997 marked the release of the original “Digital Monster” LCD toy. In 2027, the Digimon franchise will celebrate its 30th anniversary. As part of the lead-up to that milestone, the “Digimon 30th Anniversary Project” launched its first initiative: a worldwide vote for the best episodes across the four initial TV series. The results of that vote now form the lineup for Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure.
Two of the four series will begin airing from October 4: Digimon Adventure — the series that started it all — and Digimon Tamers, which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. Broadcast details for Digimon Adventure 02 and Digimon Frontier will be announced at a later date.
Fan Comments to Be Read by Original Cast
Leading up to the broadcast, the official Digimon anime X (formerly Twitter) account is collecting fan comments about the episodes that ranked 1st through 11th in Digimon Adventure and Digimon Tamers. Fans can use the hashtag #ベスアド along with the episode title to share their thoughts. Selected comments will be read aloud during the broadcast: Hirata Hiroaki will voice comments for Digimon Adventure, and Nozawa Masako will read those for Digimon Tamers.
Legendary Team Behind the Opening Theme
The opening theme song for Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure has also been revealed. It will be performed by Miyazaki Ayumi (who sang the Digimon Adventure insert song “brave heart”) and Tanimoto Takayoshi (who sang the Digimon Tamers insert song “One Vision”). The lyrics are by Yamada Hiroshi, who has written many Digimon songs including the Digimon Adventure 02 insert “Break up! & Beat Hit!”, and the composition is by Ota Michihiko, who contributed to the opening and insert songs of all four series, such as the Digimon Frontier opening “FIRE!!”. This legendary team promises to bring a fresh new energy to the Digimon anime. Further details about the song will be announced later.
