GARRACK has unveiled a new line of Japanese-made automatic wristwatches inspired by the theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc, blending the traditional craft of Awa washi paper with the world of the hit anime. Four models, each representing a different character, are set to launch on August 21, 2026.
The watches are part of the S-MEISTER mechanical watch series. The original manga by Fujimoto Tatsuki has surpassed 36 million copies in circulation worldwide. The first part was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha), and the second part in Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha). The TV anime adaptation aired in October 2022 on TV Tokyo and other channels, produced by MAPPA, and has since streamed in over 200 countries and regions.
The theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc (distributed by Toho) opened on September 19, 2025. It earned 10.8 billion yen domestically and 29.78 billion yen worldwide, winning the Animation of the Year award at the 49th Japan Academy Film Prize (2026). A sequel anime, Chainsaw Man Assassin Arc, has also been greenlit.
Each watch features a dial made from “momigami” (crumpled paper), a type of Awa washi. The handcrafted paper’s rich texture and irregular patterns evoke the intense, dynamic world of the series. The timepieces are powered by a Japanese-made automatic movement and assembled in Japan, emphasizing domestic craftsmanship.
Chainsaw Man Model
The Chainsaw Man model uses Awa washi in a color scheme inspired by the character. The hour and minute hands are shaped like chainsaw blades, with a chainsaw motif at the 12 o’clock position. Other indices are designed as chainsaw teeth, and a starter rope emblem appears beside the open-heart window.
Bomb Model
The Bomb model features Awa washi in Bomb’s colors. The hour hand is shaped like a bomb, and the minute hand evokes Bomb’s arm. A Bomb motif sits at 12 o’clock, while a choker pin-inspired part is placed at 6 o’clock.
Makima Model
The Makima model uses Awa washi in Makima’s color palette. The hands are designed as necktie motifs, with a coffee cup at 12 o’clock and indices shaped like Makima’s eyes.
Hayakawa Aki Model
The Hayakawa Aki model employs Awa washi in Aki’s colors. The minute hand is a sword, the hour hand a sheath. A cigarette motif appears at 12 o’clock, and earring-inspired parts are placed at 3 and 9 o’clock, capturing the character’s essence in every detail.
The see-through case back is printed with the logo of Chainsaw Man Reze Arc.
Each watch is priced at 39,600 yen (tax included). This collection merges traditional craftsmanship with the series’ aesthetic, making it a must-have for fans.
