To celebrate the opening of ufotable CHARACTERS Cafe IKEBUKURO, which launched on August 8, 2026, at Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro and the Grandscape Ikebukuro 2F, special screenings of two Kimetsu no Yaiba films will be held for one week only, from August 21 to August 27, 2026. The screenings will take place at Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro, with each film shown once per day.
About Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga by Gotoge Koyoharu, which has sold over 220 million copies across 23 volumes. The anime, produced by ufotable, began with the TV series in April 2019. The Infinity Castle arc is being released as a trilogy, with the first chapter, Akaza Sairai, hitting theaters on July 18, 2025. The film was also nominated for the Best Animated Film award at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, the only Japanese work to receive a nomination.
Special Screening Details
The special screening of Mugenjou-hen Dai Isshou Akaza Sairai will be the IMAX special screening version that was shown in February 2026. Additionally, the Mugen Ressha-hen will be screened in BESTIA (Dolby Atmos) format.
