Fans of Puella Magi Madoka Magica have a new way to celebrate the series. A collaboration between the anime and fashion brand CONVERSE TOKYO brings apparel and accessories featuring original artwork by artist SAMEHOSHI, known for delicate lines and soft colors. The collection launches on August 21, 2026, at all CONVERSE TOKYO stores (excluding the Gotemba Outlet) and the official online store.
About the Collaboration
The original TV anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica aired in 2011, telling the story of a middle school girl named Kaname Madoka who encounters a mysterious creature and becomes a magical girl. Two compilation films were released in 2012, followed by the new story film Rebellion in 2013. The upcoming completely new film Gekijouban Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten is scheduled for release on August 28, 2026.
This collaboration focuses on the 2013 film Rebellion. Artist SAMEHOSHI, who depicts transformations with soft colors and intricate lines, has created original artwork of six characters: Kaname Madoka, Akemi Homura, Tomoe Mami, Miki Sayaka, Sakura Kyoko, and Momoe Nagisa. The artwork is used across a range of items, including T-shirts, acrylic stands, and necklaces.
Puella Magi TEE
The “Puella Magi TEE” features the artwork prominently on the front, with Kyubey, a character deeply connected to the girls, designed on the back. The T-shirts capture the magical girls facing their fates while carrying hope and conflict, expressed through SAMEHOSHI’s unique style.
Puella Magi ACRYLIC STAND
The “Puella Magi ACRYLIC STAND” uses the original artwork for acrylic stands. Included star-shaped parts allow fans to freely connect their favorite characters for display.
Puella Magi NECKLACE
In collaboration with HARIO Lampwork Factory, the accessory brand by heat-resistant glass maker HARIO, a special necklace has been created. Inside glass shaped like a Soul Gem, a star-shaped glass piece in the character’s color is enclosed, combined with a motif charm representing each character. The transparency and delicate expression of glass bring the six magical girls to life in this special accessory.
Original Art and Events
A lottery sale for the original artwork of the six magical girls, created specifically for this collaboration, has also been announced. The artwork will be displayed for a limited time at CONVERSE TOKYO Miyashita Park store from August 21 to 30, and at the Ginza store from September 4 to 13. Additionally, SAMEHOSHI will be present at the Miyashita Park store on August 22 and 23, from 14:00 to 17:00 each day.
Purchase Bonus
Customers who purchase collaboration products totaling 6,000 yen or more (tax included) will receive a special novelty featuring a message that hints at the next development. The bonus is limited in quantity and will end once supplies run out.
