Fans of the classic mecha series have a new collectible to look forward to. The first film in Armored Trooper Votoms: The Grey Witch (releasing November 20) is getting an online advance movie ticket that comes with a secret bromide photo. Sales begin August 21 at 10:00 AM.
Armored Trooper Votoms: The Grey Witch is a completely new entry in the Votoms series, produced as part of Sunrise’s 50th anniversary. Set during the end of the Hundred Year War, it follows soldiers who pilot the humanoid combat vehicle known as the Scope Dog, treated as expendable resources. The story centers on Ash, a soldier feared as a “witch,” and Maki, a woman on a secret mission to uncover his mystery. Director Oshii Mamoru brings intense battlefield action to this thrilling tale.
The cast includes Sawashiro Miyuki, Miki Shinichiro, Kaji Yuki, and Nakamura Yuichi. The project is planned and produced by Sunrise, with production cooperation from Production I.G and distribution by Bandai Namco Filmworks.
The limited-edition ticket features a design that combines a scene from the film with the work’s logo. There are 14 different bromide designs in total, all sold in secret. Some of them use previously unreleased visuals, so fans will want to keep an eye out.
The ticket works like a standard Muvie Ticket: the purchase number and PIN needed for seat reservation will be sent by email later, and the content number required for printing the bromide will be included in the same message.
The online advance ticket with secret bromide is priced at 2,200 yen (tax included). Sales run from August 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM until November 15 at 11:59 PM. Those who purchase by September 27 will receive their email on September 30, while purchases made from September 28 onward will get the email on November 17. The ticket is not sold at theater counters but can be used at all Muvie Ticket–compatible theaters nationwide. The bromide can be printed at multi-copy machines installed at FamilyMart, Lawson, and Ministop stores (excluding some locations).
