The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rinne Ishida’s Matsurika Kanriden light novel has revealed additional cast, staff, the opening theme, and the first promotional video. The series is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, and BS11 in January 2027.

Rock band KANA-BOON (Naruto: Shippuuden) is performing the opening theme “Hanabanashi,” which was previewed in the first promotional video.
Yuuichi Nakazawa (Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki) is directing the anime at Maho Film, with Touko Machida (Isekai Nonbiri Nouka) handling series composition. Manami Inose (Ao no Miburo: Serizawa Ansatsu-hen) is designing the characters, and Takurou Iga (Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Ni) is composing the music.
Ishida began penning the historical fantasy light novel under the B’s-LOG Bunko imprint in July 2017, with illustrations by Izumi (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru). Kadokawa published the 18th volume in October 2025. Monthly Princess began serializing a manga adaptation by Waka Takase in August 2018, and Akita Shoten released the 12th volume in October 2025. Mito Aoi began serializing the Juusansai no Tanjoubi, Kougou ni Narimashita. spin-off manga in Monthly Princess in March 2020; the ninth volume went on sale on March 16.
