Pony Canyon opened an official website for the original TV anime Maiden Blood on Friday, revealing the main cast, staff, teaser visual, and promotional video. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
The voice cast features Saeki Iori as Eva and Anzai Yukari as Epica.

Project History
The project began in 2020 during the pandemic when series composer Uezu Makoto pitched a proposal for a dark, hardcore action anime free of broadcasting restrictions. Inspired by the brutal aesthetic of Western RPGs, the story’s intense content led director Kishi Seiji to note that multiple early episode drafts were initially deemed unsuitable for TV broadcast. The production committee is still in talks with networks to ensure the uncompromising dark fantasy can air as intended.
Synopsis
Armageddon has overturned the world’s destiny. An Evil God has risen, empowered by the ego of humans who feared death. Eight billion people were sacrificed, leaving only a handful of survivors to exist as playthings for the god in a world of eternal darkness. In this twisted world, human blood has become everything—currency, fuel, and a forbidden weapon forged by sorcerers to eradicate demons.
Eva and Epica are sisters bound by a tragic fate. The younger sister Eva is the ultimate blood-battle human who has lost her soul, while the older sister Epica was born unable to walk. Only Epica’s blood can awaken Eva’s power to fight the demons that have defiled the world.
