Special Exhibition for New Hokuto no Ken Anime Opens in Ikebukuro
The special exhibition for the TV anime Hokuto no Ken -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR- is currently being held at Anime Tokyo Station in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, from August 22, 2026. The event features a variety of displays, including setting materials and scene photo panels that revisit key moments from the series. Visitors can also enjoy an original “Hokuto no Ken Character Diagnosis” quiz, which matches your personality to a character from the series.
The anime is a new adaptation of the classic manga by Buronson (story) and Hara Tetsuo (art), which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1983. The animation is produced by TMS Entertainment / 7th Studio. The first cour aired from April to June 2026, with a second cour scheduled for 2027.
On September 6, a talk show recording titled “Hokuto no Ken Day Commemorative Talk Show in Anime Tokyo Station” will take place. The event will feature voice actors Takeuchi Shunsuke (Kenshiro), Mamiya Yasuhiro (Dia and various minor roles), and Fukujima Jun (various minor roles). Participation is free, but only 50 people will be selected via lottery. Applications are accepted through the official form until August 30 at 23:59. The recording will be streamed on the official Anime Tokyo Station YouTube channel on September 13, which is “Hokuto no Ken Day.”
The exhibition runs until November 8, 2026. Opening hours are from 11:00 to 19:00, with last entry at 18:45 (exhibition area until 18:30). The venue is closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday), as well as during year-end and New Year holidays and temporary closures. Admission is free.
