Sanrio Characters are getting a deliciously cute new merchandise release! The beloved characters are set to appear as adorable cereal-package-inspired charms, with the “Sanrio Characters Cereal Charm & Chocolate Flakes” arriving in February 2027.
The announcement comes on the heels of the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking, where Hello Kitty placed 5th. Pompompurin took the top spot with a record-breaking 70,647,379 votes, followed by Cinnamoroll in 2nd, Pochacco in 3rd, and Kuromi in 4th. These fan-favorite characters continue to capture hearts worldwide.
This new lineup features a double-charm design: an original cereal-style package charm paired with a cereal-style mascot charm. The set includes a colorful ball chain, making it easy to attach to bags, pouches, or other accessories. As a sweet bonus, each package comes with chocolate-coated flakes.
The mascot charms come in 10 varieties: Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, Hangyodon, Bad Badtz-Maru, Kero Kero Keroppi, plus one secret design.
With the colorful ball chain, you can easily attach the charm to your favorite bag or pouch. The included chocolate-coated flakes add a tasty touch to the package.
The “Sanrio Characters Cereal Charm & Chocolate Flakes” is scheduled for release in February 2027. It will be available at confectionery sections of mass retailers nationwide, priced at 385 yen (tax included).
