The King of Monsters has arrived in watch form. The new Godzilla Radio-Controlled Solar Chronograph is now available, limited to 1,954 pieces worldwide. Sales began on August 20, 2026.
Godzilla first appeared in 1954 and has captivated audiences for over 70 years. The 2023 film Godzilla Minus One won the Visual Effects Oscar at the 96th Academy Awards, while Hollywood’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire surpassed 84.5 billion yen at the worldwide box office. Director Yamazaki Takashi’s latest film, Godzilla -0.0, is set for release on November 3, 2026.
The watch features a matte black body with a red pattern inspired by the ground cracks caused by Godzilla’s destruction. At the 12 o’clock position, the Oxygen Destroyer is designed with a natural diamond at its center, adding a premium glow to the deep black dial. The blue second hand, representing Godzilla’s radioactive heat ray, gives the design a powerful accent. The case back is engraved with Godzilla’s footprint, the logo, and a unique serial number.
The watch comes with two interchangeable straps: a matte black stainless steel band and an original leather strap made from cowhide that evokes Godzilla’s rugged skin, featuring red stitching. A simple tool is included for easy strap changes.
The dedicated box includes a poster-style guarantee card reminiscent of the 1954 film’s promotional art, making it a worthy collectible.
This timepiece receives Japanese standard radio waves from the Ootakadoya Yama and Hagane Yama transmission stations, with an accuracy of just one second per 100,000 years. No manual time adjustment is needed, as the watch automatically syncs to the correct time anywhere in Japan. Solar charging converts indoor and sunlight into energy, eliminating the need for battery replacements.
The watch is priced at ¥49,500 (tax included) and is on sale now. A note: radio reception may be difficult in certain locations such as underground or inside buildings, and serial numbers cannot be specified.
