Madoka Magica Official X Launches Soul Gem Style Icon Maker to Celebrate Rebellion Revival

The official X account for Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica has launched a “Soul Gem style icon maker” to commemorate the revival screening of “Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica [Shinpen] Hangyaku no Monogatari” (Rebellion).

The original TV series aired in 2011, following ordinary middle school student Madoka Kaname as she is drawn into a world of magical girls born from wishes. The series was later compiled into two films in 2012, and a new film, “Hangyaku no Monogatari,” was released in 2013. The latest film, “Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica ,” a completely new work that serves as a sequel and a new beginning, was released on August 28, 2026.

On August 14, 2026, the official X account posted: “Soul Gem style icon maker to commemorate the revival screening of Hangyaku no Monogatari. What color is your soul? Just tap, and your very own Soul Gem style icon will be born.” By clicking the illustration in the post, users can create their own Soul Gem style icon.

The campaign runs until September 13.
