Production company Kadokawa and entertainment company Cover Corporation announced on Monday that VTuber agency Hololive is producing a television anime titled Odeholo. The announcement came with a new visual and a promotional video.
Production Studio
The anime is being produced by Studio KAI, the animation studio behind Yuusha-kei ni Shosu and Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu. Studio KAI has previously worked on various official Hololive short anime projects and music videos.
Announcement Details
The project was revealed during the “Hololive Next 2026.9.7” livestream, part of the franchise’s 10th anniversary celebration leading up to September 7, 2027. A special livestream program on September 23 at 8:00 p.m. will provide more information, featuring VTubers Nene Momosuzu, Polka Omaru, Lamy Yukihana, and Botan Shishiro, with Fubuki Shirakami and Mio Ookami as hosts.
Background
Hololive launched in September 2017 with the debut of VTuber Tokino Sora. It has grown into one of the largest global VTuber agencies under Cover Corporation, with branches including Hololive Indonesia and Hololive English. Hololive Production gathered more than 95.2 million YouTube subscribers as of June 2026.
